ATMF044 THE NEGATIVE BIAS – Lamentation of the Chaos Omega

ATMF044 THE NEGATIVE BIAS – Lamentation of the Chaos Omega

Can we expect something ambitious moving from the late 90ies Black metal inspiration?
Does Atmospheric Black Metal finally break the borders? I.F.S. (ex ALASTOR) as the main founder of THE NEGATIVE BIAS realizes his own visions with the musical help of S.T. of the seminal project GOLDEN DAWN (band active since 1992) & RAUHNÅCHT.
Their symphonic musicianship is now at the service of this new project.
Mixing futurist pessimist cold perceptions and a visionary spectrum of primeval fear, THE NEGATIVE BIAS looks over the usual terrestrial wall, raising an even more disturbing assumption on the novel of the future.
Hate can be easily analyzed by the human science but opening the portal of a new experimental universe may raise new monsters. The musical approach of this album consists of wisely alternated atmospheric and ambient layers over Symphonic Black Metal that doesn’t run the risk to sound too nostalgic, but that aspires to paint a new flux. There is no feeling of being merely lost in the cosmos but following a precise conceptual storyboard and complex songwriting, still lot has to be told by the music itself. “The Negative Bias (TNB) will transform you into the might of infinity, a transcendental nightmare from the deepest darkspace. We want to create a special evocative atmosphere that awakes the internal need for destruction, but also in the same step the glorious desire to end all in chaos. With ATMF we have found a superb partner for the upcoming releases and a future collaboration.” (I.F.S.) The first record will be named
-LAMENTATION OF THE CHAOS OMEGA- and will include 6 tracks full of cosmic faith. To be...

CULT004 – PERISHED – KARK Limited Luxury Digipak Edition with extra tracks & LP edition including cult 7”

Digipak, 2017 CULT004 PERISHED – KARK Limited Luxury Digipak Edition with extra tracks & LP edition including cult 7” Satyricon and Enslaved have been milestone builders for the Viking-inspired theme of the Norwegian Black Metal saga. But there’s an hidden gem, born out of the Norwegian womb, that the acolytes of this unique 90s Black Metal atmosphere recognize as a classic: this is Perished’s “Kark”. Formed on 1991, Perished forged 2 solid demos, “In Hoc Signo Vinces” (1993) and “Through the Black Mist” (1994); the “Perished” EP released in 1996 soon became an iconic collector item and granted them a deal for the release of their debut album on Solistitium Records, the same label of bands like Behemoth, Horna, Helheim, Isvind, Nocternity, Tsjuder & Wyrd. “Kark” was published the first time in 1998 on both Cd & Limited LP edition: an admirable example of darkly epic Norwegian Black Metal, where overwhelming riffs were taking the folk inspiration to the evocative goal. Scheduled for a June 26th release and strictly limited to 500 copies, the deluxe Digipak CD edition of “Kark” will include a retrospective of the album concept and musical inspiration made by the band as well as 3 bonus tracks: the previously unreleased song “A Landscape of Flames”, and the 2 tracks from the “Perished” 7” EP, “Kald Som Aldri Før” and “Gjennom Skjærende Lys”. The LP Edition, out in October, will come with an insert including the same band retrospective, but apart from that it will be faithful to the original LP edition. First 200 copies will come together with a bonus 7″ containing the eponymous cult...

ATMF041 – DIGIR GIDIM – I THOUGHT THERE WAS THE SUN AWAITING MY AWAKENING

ATMF041 – DIGIR GIDIM – I THOUGHT THERE WAS THE SUN AWAITING MY AWAKENING

Titaan’s debut, crafted by one of the 2 creative sides of Digir Gidim, was one of the hypes in the esoteric and occult Black Metal field on 2016. If Titaan was showing how to digest an extreme juxtaposition of cruel and enthralling fast parts and ambient/ atmospheric suites, Digir Gidim starts from a more synthetic but yet powerfully evocative strength. Ritualistic choirs performing a unique Sumerian archaic atmosphere are blended into deep and profound sounds and the poisoned Black Metal guitar lines, not merely playing on the usual fields but carving deeper and deeper into the listener subconscious halls. References can be somewhere found on the Spektr & Blut Aus Nord more inspired musical rites, but the personal concept, the musicality of each song and the sense of understanding of the pillars of the creation make “I Thought…” a remarkable album, hard to be compared. If Melecesh and Nile are stuck into a merely historical approach not stepping over the metal boundaries Digir Gidim are the answer to take the synthesis of this spiritual and cultural vision both musically and conceptually. Digir was a cuneiform symbol made to represent supreme divinity An or Anu, It also denotes a God if it’s placed in front of a name. Ego, the rotten gift of civilization and all religions related to the 4 senses is dissolved on a primordial return to elevate the supreme will.. This process has to pass through 7 portals, transcending the meaning of good and bad as lately managed by dominant modern religions, following instead the Sumerian path. Not to be slaves but to become a unity the...

Cd, 2017 The immanent shadow of the Dark One guiding the initiate bringer of the dark light to the path of knowledge, the essence of the earth and the realm of the flesh. Conceptual points of references are Ceremonial Magic, Shamanism, Tarot, A. Crowley’s esoteric journey, A. Jodorowsky’s philosophical transcendence. Atra Lumen was recorded, mixed and mastered in April and May in the Priory Recording Studios, Birmingham UK by Greg Chandler (ESOTERIC, LYCHGATE). ATMF039 – HAAR / UR DRAUGR – Ur Draugr / Haar (split 4-panel Digipak cd)

ATMF039 – HAAR / UR DRAUGR – Ur Draugr / Haar (split 4-panel Digipak cd)

Cd, 2016 Black and death metal are often regarded as hostile to innovation, preferring instead to rely on staid ideas. A new alliance between HAAR, the forefront of Scotland’s discordant avant-garde, and UR-DRAUGR, a mighty, progressive Australian black metal force, proves that such orthodoxy is merely a border to be crossed by the curious. Perfectly merging the musical atmosphere and sinister evokations of both artists, this split release is powerfully supported by the artistic vision of Costin Chioreanu, who has truly captured the essence of Ur Draugr and Haar’s message in visual manifestation. Over the course of three dissonant, savage tracks, Haar explore the concept of Sehnsucht, the almost pathological yearning the human psyche has for faith, to believe in some sort of supernatural essence or meaning, to find significance or resonance amidst the chaos of mundane existence. Ur Draugr contribute with a single, esoteric track of nearly twenty minutes in length, which inducts the listener into a journey inspired by the philosophical traditions of Baudrillard and Nietzsche, Lovecraft’s Dream Cycle, and Robert Chambers’ ‘The King in Yellow’. Digital Preview / Sale: TRACKLIST 1 – Haar – Extinction 08:30 2 – Haar – Strings 06:31 3 – Haar – Architects 07:54 4 – Ur Draugr – The Vista Profunda 19:40 Total Running Time: 42:35 BUY PHYSICAL NOW BUY...
